Remember how awesome Dr. Hans Jenkins is?! If you didn’t read about him before, you can read about him here.

Not only is he an incredible physician but he has some great home building skills! This past weekend, Dr. Jenkins volunteered to help build a home for a 26-year-old wounded Iraqi solider. Army Cpl. Jensen was wounded by two 100-pound bombs that claimed both his legs and left arm. After being wounded Jensen’s only thoughts were not turned to his injured body but thoughts of how he would provide for his wife, Bethany and their four-year-old son James.

His thoughts were answered by Homes for Our Troops and Rainey Homes who volunteered to build the Jensen’s a home. The new home isn’t your typical home with waist-high counters and narrow hallways. No, this home is tailored to meet Jensen’s handi-capable needs.

To read the full story about the Jensen’s and the role Dr. Jenkins played in helping change their life, visit the Standard Examiner’s site or click on the following links.

Dr. Jenkins, let me be the first (or second or third ) to say that I feel honored to work with someone who cares so much about those around him!
